MPHIA Courses, Certificates and Accreditations
Do you know...
What a stromatoporoid is?
When were the Canadian Rockies formed?
Who where the first people to visit the Bow Valley
and How did Kicking Horse Pass get its name?
Join us and find out! MPHIA’s spectrum
of Interpretive Guide Courses and accreditations are specifically designed
to meet Parks Canada’s interpretive guide training requirements, but
anyone who is simply curious about the mountain parks or who wants to learn
more about them is welcome to attend.
Choosing the Right Course for You

People take our courses for two main reasons:
1) Personal interest and simply to learn more about the Mountain National
Parks.
2) To achieve an accreditation or certificate that meets Parks Canada’s
interpretive guide training requirements.
If you are taking a course simply for personal interest, you are welcome to
take any of the courses listed in our course overview chart – simply choose one
that interests you the most.
If you are taking a course for accreditation purposes, look at the Course
Overview Chart to determine the minimum level that Parks Canada requires
you to have.
Keep in mind that these are minimum requirements and that you are welcome
to exceed these requirements.
For more details on each course visit that courses content page.
